The Shamrock Wrestling Club coaches bring championship-level experience to every practice in Somerset, MA and Fall River. Founded by NCAA Division I wrestler Andrew Fallon, our coaching staff includes three-time state champions and nationally ranked competitors who've dedicated their careers to developing the next generation of wrestlers.
Our wrestling coaches in Somerset MA don't just teach technique — they build character, discipline, and mental toughness that carries athletes far beyond the mat. From youth grapplers in grades K-5 to competitive high school wrestlers, every Shamrock athlete trains under coaches who've competed at the highest levels.
Andrew Fallon began wrestling at six years old, traveling from Fall River to Warren, Rhode Island because there was no local club closer to home. That early commitment laid the foundation for a career built on toughness and long-term vision.
As an 8th grader in 2015, Andrew wrestled varsity for Durfee High School in Fall River. Competing at 106 pounds while weighing only 97, he was the only Durfee wrestler to qualify for the MIAA Division 1 State Championships. Despite being physically undersized, he placed 5th in Division 1 and 3rd in the Division 1 South Sectional.
The following year at La Salle Academy in Providence, Andrew captured his first high school state championship, defeating future NCAA Division III National Champion Joziah Fry. He went on to place 3rd at the High School New England Championships as a freshman.
After an injury-shortened sophomore season where he was ranked #1 in New England, Andrew transferred to Bishop Hendricken High School. There he won his second state title and his first New England Championship at 120 pounds — intentionally moving up weight classes to prepare for the collegiate level.
Andrew signed a full NCAA Division I athletic scholarship to American University. After transferring to Sacred Heart University, he placed 5th in the EIWA — the largest NCAA wrestling conference in the country — and earned his MBA on full scholarship.
Today, Andrew is completing an accelerated BSN Nursing program in Fall River while building Shamrock Wrestling Club to give South Coast athletes the high-level training opportunities he once had to travel out of state to find.
Andrew Howard, a native of Swansea, Massachusetts, began wrestling in 2002, first competing out of Warren, Rhode Island. Recognizing early that elite performance requires elite preparation, he committed to traveling 90 minutes each way to train at a premier private club in Connecticut throughout middle school — building the foundation for a championship career.
At Moses Brown School in Providence, Andrew built one of the most accomplished wrestling resumes in program history. He finished his career as a two-time state champion, three-time state finalist, three-time New England placer, and Senior All-American.
A standout multi-sport athlete, Andrew was also a three-time All-Division running back and First Team All-State selection, leading the state in rushing yards and touchdowns his senior year.
After a postgraduate year at Tabor Academy, Andrew continued his academic and athletic career at Gettysburg College. While recruited to compete in both wrestling and football, he chose to focus on football, leading his team’s offense in total yards, touchdowns, and receptions in 2018 before earning his degree in Business Management.
Andrew returned to the mat as a coach during the 2022–2023 season with Somerset Berkley Regional High School, helping mentor sectional and state champions along with multiple New England qualifiers.
Andrew’s vision for Shamrock Wrestling Club is simple — to provide local athletes the high-level daily training environment he once had to travel far to find. He believes deeply in discipline, resilience, and mental toughness. Wrestling is demanding — and that is precisely why it builds champions on and off the mat.
Quinn Fallon began wrestling at seven years old, traveling to Warren, Rhode Island — the closest youth program available at the time. A lifelong Somerset resident, Quinn built his foundation in the sport through discipline, consistency, and a deep connection to the local wrestling community.
Wrestling all four years at Somerset/Berkley High School, Quinn captured an MIAA State Championship at 285 pounds in dramatic double-overtime fashion — a performance that showcased toughness and composure under pressure.
He continued his athletic career at UMass Dartmouth, where he competed in football for four years while earning his degree. Throughout that time, Quinn remained active in youth athletics, mentoring and supporting young wrestlers in the Somerset area.
Today, Quinn serves as a youth coach at Shamrock Wrestling Club, bringing championship experience, steady leadership, and a commitment to developing disciplined, resilient athletes. In addition to coaching, Quinn serves the Somerset community as a police officer, reinforcing his dedication to mentorship both on and off the mat.
