WHAT IS SHAMROCK WRESTLING CLUB?
Shamrock Wrestling Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, year-round youth and middle school wrestling program serving Somerset and Fall River, Massachusetts. We focus on technical mastery, discipline, strength, and mental toughness — building athletes on and off the mat.
WHO CAN JOIN THE CLUB?
We welcome youth and middle school athletes of all experience levels — from complete beginners to competitive wrestlers preparing for school seasons.
DO I NEED PRIOR WRESTLING EXPERIENCE?
No experience is required. We teach fundamentals from the ground up while challenging advanced athletes with live wrestling and structured drilling.
WHAT WRESTLING STYLES DO YOU TEACH?
We focus primarily on folkstyle wrestling used in middle and high school competition, while teaching skills that transition into freestyle and higher-level wrestling.
WHY CHOOSE WRESTLING OVER KARATE, TAEKWONDO, OR BJJ?
Wrestling is fully integrated into middle and high schools and is an NCAA-recognized sport with active recruiting pathways. It provides a built-in teammate structure within schools, measurable competitive achievement, and opportunities for school admission and collegiate recruiting that private martial arts programs typically cannot offer.
WILL WRESTLING HELP MY CHILD MAKE THEIR SCHOOL TEAM?
Yes. Our training directly prepares athletes for middle and high school wrestling environments — technically, physically, and mentally.
CAN WRESTLING HELP WITH COLLEGE ADMISSIONS OR RECRUITING?
Wrestling is an NCAA sport with recruiting opportunities at multiple collegiate levels. Success in wrestling builds measurable competitive credentials that college admissions offices and coaches recognize. Additionally, some student athletes use wrestling to gain tuition free opportunities at prestigious Prep Schools around New England.
WHAT ARE THE MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS?
Monthly Membership – $100 per month
Ideal for athletes committed to consistent development and long-term improvement.

Walk-In Rate – $25 per visit
Perfect for flexible schedules or supplemental training.

Wrestling rewards consistency. Athletes training multiple times per week see the greatest growth.
ARE PARENTS ALLOWED TO WATCH PRACTICE?
Yes — parents are welcome to observe practice space permitting. We maintain a small designated parent section available on a first-come, first-served basis. When the room reaches capacity, viewing may be limited to maintain a focused training environment. We are also located next to a great café where parents can comfortably wait during practice.
WHAT IS THE COACHING EXPERIENCE AT SHAMROCK?
Shamrock Wrestling Club is led by experienced competitors and active coaches:

Andrew Fallon – NCAA Division I wrestler, 2x Division I Team Captain, current Assistant Wrestling Coach at Roger Williams University.

Andrew Howard – Two-time state champion, Senior All-American, and current Somerset Berkley Regional High School Wrestling Coach.

Quinn Fallon – High school wrestling coach with competitive and developmental experience.

Our athletes are coached by individuals who have competed and led at the highest scholastic and collegiate levels.
HOW SAFE IS WRESTLING?
Wrestling is one of the most structured and coached youth sports. Proper technique, supervision, and progressive training significantly reduce injury risk. We emphasize safety and fundamentals from day one.
WILL WRESTLING HELP IN OTHER SPORTS?
Absolutely. Wrestling develops balance, strength, body control, mental toughness, and composure under pressure. Many elite athletes credit wrestling as the foundation of their athletic success.
